~ Plants ~

“Every blade of grass has its angel that bends over it and whispers, 'Grow, grow.'”
~ The Talmud

I am Divine. Since I was a child my grandmother took me out to learn about our plant friends. She has always said my hands glow green with the vibration of the plants. I am very close to them and they teach me much. I work with the trees and flowers of the forest, of the garden. Plants are incredible teachers and caretakers - they help us to breath here are on our Mother Earth, they help clothe us, shelter us, feed us and give us wonderful medicines and healing nourishment. There are many ways to connect with the plants. One is by communing with them in nature. Either in your garden or on a forest walk it is very easy to get close to the plants. When you sit next to them and get really quiet you can hear them speak. Each and every plant has a spirit just like you and me, all with different personalities, some have medicinal and healing properties. Always respect the plants as living beings for they give us much.

Going on a Woods Walk

Going on a woods walk can be very joyful in many ways and very humbling. To be aware of the relationship between the plants and animals can be quite fun. If you have some extra time you can have some quiet time in the woods or garden and learn much. Please do sit down in the middle of the plants where it is very quiet, away from human noise and LISTEN... just listen and you will be communing with them. Touch them, send them Love and I assure you they will send it back to you. It is not for me to say what exactly you will learn just sit with an open heart and will you will feel something extraordinary.

Collecting Herbs in the Garden

There are many plants that are medicinal in quality. There are also many that are not. When you walk into the woods or garden with intention of finding a plant for medicine you always have to be careful to identify the plants correctly. Your intuition and a good plant guide will lead you to the very right plant. Always, always talk to an adult before you do this. When you get to know a few special plants you will be amazed of what they are capable of. Many medicinal herbs are found dried in herb stores too. Some of my favorite herbs that are gentle and have very healing qualities are:

Chamomile - The flowers of chamomile are very gentle in quality. Chamomile tea is wonderful for calming and for upset tummies.

Lavendar - The flowers of lavendar are very gentle in qaulity. The essential oil of lavendar can be used a couple of drops at a time for a relaxing bath or for soothing a headache.

Lemon Balm - The leaf of lemon balm can make a beautiful calming tea. Add honey and you will be delighted.

Peppermint - The leaf of peppermint can be used to make a tea that can be very uplifting and also helpful with tummy upsets.

Dandelion - You may think Dandelion is just a weed but you'd be amazed at the properties of some of the weeds in your garden.

Try to always use the freshest, greenest, most Organic herbs you can find free of chemicals and pollution - closest to our Mother Earth. There is so much to learn about plants. Please treat your plant brothers and sisters with respect and always give thanks for their boundless gifts.
